Recent major work on island completed for time being.

Specimen perch showing all winter, being caught on worm or prawn. Chub showing (and growing). Carp catches slow but a lot of recent atcivity with specimens of 20+ being caught. Some from the newly built swims on either side of the bridge to island. A lot of work has been done on the main island and once mature, some great fishing will be had from it. Recent stocking of carp has taken place.Carp anglers usually fish the far end of the lake or the Island using using sweet or fruit flavoured boilies. Some good sport can also be had by stalking around the back channels. Some good size carp have been caught this way. With summer approaching carp can be taken from any of the roadside swims. They there to be caught but remember- presentation is important.

We have at least four differen thirties in the lake now being taken since last spring, showing up on several occasions . A new , confirmed, thirty + was landed early this month which was recorded and microchipped at 28lb last september.

There is still a long waiting list for this venue.
